Each kit comes with a few flat sheets of metal pieces that can be pressed out and assembled by following the simple instructions, resulting in a wonderful little steel model. Note that the individual pieces can be very small, making them somewhat tricky to assemble and would require a steady hand and the use of tools such as flat nose pliers. While these could be suitable for older children with some help, they are more geared towards adult model builders.This Apollo 11 astronaut model from Metal Earth is mid-level difficulty and comes with 75 pieces – the finished model is 3x3x5.3 inches. A challenging but rewarding model kit that doesn’t require painting as each of the metal pieces is coloured and detailed. A great gift for space enthusiasts!
